Hello,

First and foremost, thank you for visiting and being a part of our community. My name is Zeb Schoemaker and I am the owner and instructor for Exceed the Standards LLC.

At this company, we strive to bring real world applications to both civilians and law enforcement in the realm of firearms, tactics, and home defense training.

My path to this company began when I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps when I was 18. After getting out, and a brief stint in construction, I landed in law enforcement. I started my patrol career in Colorado, before coming back home to Arizona in 2022. I am still an active sworn officer with an agency in northern Arizona and currently the team leader for a regional SWAT team. All while doing this, becoming more and more in love with firearms, tactics, and teaching.

I started Exceed the Standard LLC after trip to a very popular firearms convention in Las Vegas looking for new equipment. While walking through looking at products, I noticed there were no training companies there. This didn’t sit well with me. What good is a product, if you don’t know how to properly employ it.

This started me down the rabbit hole of how I can bring training to those who want it. Simple answer, start a company and start training people. So with that, I did, and here it is. We understand sometimes due to life or staffing, sometimes committing time to fly or drive hours away may not be realistic. To combat this, I will come to you. I maintain everyone has the right to better themselves, and it is on me to provide the opportunity for those that choose my company.
